“ Gender liberation helps everyone, not just transgender people. Part of our goal is to break down the myth that men and women must adhere to rigid, distinct, stereotypical roles. Our movement is about allowing everyone to express themselves freely and safely,” says Andrea James, a transgender rights activist, producer and director. James has directed the short film Transproofed that explores transgender dating and disclosure. She has also worked with Tinder to make dating apps transgender friendly.
