As previously announced, Tom Hanks will be honored with the Trailblazer Award in recognition of his Oscar-winning role as a man grappling with HIV/AIDS in Jonathan Demme’s “Philadelphia” (1993); Lisa Cholodenko is receiving the Visionary Award, which recognizes artistic and creative contributions to LGBT media visibility, for her myriad LGBT-oriented films and television efforts (including “The Kids Are All Right”).

Presenters this year will be actors Aaron Eckhart and Rosemarie Dewitt. Master of Ceremonies will be comedian Whitney Cummings (whose sarcastic spirit made cancelled NBC sitcom “Whitney” a very guilty pleasure). Grammy winner and LGBT advocate Linda Perry, most famous for her much-remixed 4 Non Blondes single “What’s Up?,” will perform at the Legacy Awards.
