Andrea James co-founded Deep Stealth Productions with Calpernia Addams in 2002, incorporating in 2003.

Deep Stealth produces entertainment and educational content across several media. Focus at this time is on issues related to gender. Deep Stealth also works to provide more accurate and positive portrayals of transgendered people, and to give a voice to transgendered actors and entertainers who are frequently relegated to roles which are demeaning stereotypes.

Through Deep Stealth, Andrea directed the short film "Casting Pearls," about being a trans actress in Hollywood. Andrea has also directed a number of instructional programs, including Finding Your Female Voice, which is featured as the opening sequence of Transamerica.
