I think that’s a Blue Passion Flower. Blue Passion Flowers are originally from South America, and I guess these tropical flowers grow well in California’s mild climate.

Gardeners like to plant Passion Flowers for their beautiful and exotic apearance, and because they also produce Passion Fruit. Passion flowers are also the official wild Flower of Tennessee. (I bet Calpernia didn’t know that!)

And now that you know what kind of flower that is… I guess you’re going to want to plant some in your yard!

(Blue Passion Flower Seeds are pretty easy to find, because lots of stores sell them!)
