Part of a series I took last week. I call this one “Executive Realness!”
I was also reading a NYT piece yesterday about the recent renaissance of unretouched photos. I had been feeling the same thing lately, so this series was shot with an eye toward doing no retouching.

Transamerican Love Story tied for best reality show at the GLAAD Media Awards last night in San Francisco. Calpernia Addams was on hand to accept the award. The other winner, I want to Work for Diddy, included trans contestant Laverne Cox.

I wanted to make something with a 1973 kind of feel, to echo the historic APA decision in 1973 to depathologize homosexuality. The trick here was to explain a complicated issue and a lot of information succinctly.
