Shout-out for TLS in TransNation

Jacob Anderson-Minshall gives a nice shout-out to TLS in his 2008 Trans Year in Review:

LOGO’s reality dating show TransAmerican Love Story, in which a bevy of bachelors competed for the attention of openly trans actress Calpernia Addams, was actually groundbreaking if for no other reason than—as Andrea James (Addams’ best friend, business partner and fellow trans activist, who aided her selection) suggests—it helped “eliminate the stigma and the mystery of who dates [trans women].”

‘Chasing Ghosts’ on Showtime

My friend Lisa Wiegand DPd this awesome documentary about the golden age of arcade video games. In addition to having great footage from the early 80s, a moment when geeks were truly revered, the film follows up on the top-scoring guys 25 years later. If you missed it at Sundance, it’s playing on Showtime this week. Set your DVRs and prepare for a trip to a magical cringe-inducing age of yesteryear.
