Pic of the Day: Evil pumpkin
A pic of my nephew’s pumpkin. He went crazy with the guts. Happy Halloween!

Wow, it was just amazing to go back after 20 years away! Like a waking dream in some ways.
Thanks to the excellent work by the guys at shOUT, the auditorium was completely packed, standing room only. Thanks to all my friends and professors who came, and I was especially pleased to see so many students from other campuses make the trip!
I’ll have much more to share in the future, and I filmed the whole thing with a great crew out of Indianapolis. More soon!

Calpernia snapped this after we finished secondary filming on our new short “Transproofed” yesterday. Now that it’s all in the can, we are going to lock picture and start on finalizing effects and color correction. “Transproofed” will premiere in 2009.

Reminder: ”Casting Pearls” plays tonight in Washington D.C. at the Reel Affirmations festival!
Date: Wednesday, 10/22/2008
Time: 7:00 pm
Venue: 6th & I Synagogue
Tickets: $10
There’s a nice write-up by Randy Shulman of Metro Weekly
The gem of this collection is Casting Pearls (∆∆∆∆∆), featuring actress Calpernia Addams (Transamerican Love Story) as she undergoes a series of auditions for roles, some humiliating, some moronic, none especially worthwhile. Brilliantly played by Addams directly into the camera, it is a terrifically funny jab at Hollywood stereotypes.
