Below: The many emotions of Andrea James.

Time for another Transamerican Love Story round-up, or as I called it, Andrea’s cavalcade of grimaces. That top picture may be the perfect summation of my involvement in TLS…

Nadia was apparently in agreement:

Don’t miss suitor Jim’s take on things, either:

    when i was in the 2nd grade, I made that face in my school picture.  My mom was so mad when see got those.

    I think we all had reasons to make that face at certain times in the show.

    After Mark left the show, the amount of on camera grimaces you made probably greatly reduced!

    Actually, I thought Mark dealt surprisingly well with being booted off the show.

    When Calpernia kicked Mark off the show, I was afraid that Mark would grab Calpernia, carry her up the side of the Empire State Building, and then fall to his doom from the top of the building after getting shot at by a couple of guys flying biplanes!

    @Shawn: That picture is hilarious!

    @Michael: I think you have the proportions backwards… Calpernia towered over Mark. In fact, the original concept for the opening before they went with the horse-drawn carriage was for all the guys to be tied to an altar, and their screams would cause Calpernia to awaken in her lair and lumber in to scoop up their bodies in her enormous hands.

    But the carriage was cool, too. Still, I wanted to hear her roar “Calpernia crush puny humans!” Oh well. Maybe next season.

    Well, I was referring to Mark’s “King Kong” sized attitude and bad temper, rather than his physical size! smile

    Plus, in my imagination, I visualized Mark getting so mad when he got eliminated that he grew to the size of King Kong… that’s how weird my imagination is!

    My review for Episode 6 blog roundup (that makes me want to shout “Yeehaw!”)

    OK I said on Calpernia’s blog that I’d just post it there, but then I read between the lines and figured out who the real brains behind the outfit is, at least the real brains behind the blog roundups. ;D You and Calpernia should do a music video of that one Pet Shop Boys Song… “You’ve got the looks, I’ve got the brains, let’s make lots of money…” …it’d be so fitting! :D Just don’t let little facts like both of you being absolutely gorgeous get in the way of the joke ok. smile

    Anyway, here’s the URL: Spies for the Patriarchy – Transamerican Love Story Episode 6 Recap. As I warned on Calpernia’s blog, our sense of humor is a bit unorthodox so readers who get in a tizzy easily be warned! On the other hand, the more I find out about you, Andrea, the more I get the feeling you might appreciate our sense of humor (after all, if I understand the meaning behind your blog name correctly, ours is similarly themed, just more blunt. ;D) so hopefully you enjoy it should you have the time to read it. smile

    My humor can also be a bit unorthodox!

    (Just look at comments I wrote above!) wink

    Also, I am glad to see that more people other than me are starting to post comments on Andrea’s blog! I am happy that more people are starting to read Andrea’s blog!
